We purchased 40 acres in 2001 with the hopes of eventually building. Health issues intervened in those plans and we have been trying to sell the land since 2006. We tried four realtors as well as ‘for sale by owner’ before Jerome Leyba finally found us. None of the other realtors ever got so much as a serious nibble. Within a month of Jerome having the listing he had had a number of serious inquiries and showings. By the end of eight weeks, we had a signed buyer and were scheduled to close within two weeks. Jerome was VERY helpful every step of the way when we bought our house in Madrid. He is experienced and acted as an advisor in every aspect of buying our home. He is well connected, and was able to recommend a very knowledgeable finance person who found us a special program that got us a really good rate. I was in contact with him daily throughout the process, and it never took him more than 10 minutes to respond to texts and emails, even late into the evening. That house was not right BUT he took time to try and find several others..Showed me a few too.. Many where not in his area of handling, was kind enough to get us someone to show us them.. Working with Jerome for my first home purchase could not have been a better experience. I was just beginning my search and in no hurry, and honestly not fully prepared for the whole purchase process, but then we found a home that we had to submit an offer on. After a quick offer acceptance, I was thrown into the whole process less prepared than I’d like to have been, but Jerome was patient and helped me understand each step. There were a few snags along the way and he was helpful while still allowing me to steer the negotiation process. In then end, everything worked out and thanks to Jerome I am a first-time homeowner.
